These packing tips are applicable to all destinations, no matter if you’re traveling to Europe, Africa, or Asia.

These are some things you should know about packing

Vacations are a joy. What is the worst thing about vacations? Packing! You always feel like you have too many or too few things.

You then find out that you have forgotten something. You might have forgotten something because you didn’t think you would use it.

There are no lists that can prepare you to pack for vacation. Everyone is unique and requires different things.

There are also some things that you need to pack that you may not have considered.

Although we all know that the suitcase can be a prime spot at luxury destinations, it is possible to fit all your items in with some planning.

This will allow you to be ready for anything and you’ll be able to say, “I am so glad that I packed that!”

Items you need to bring

1. Copies of important documents

This seems obvious, but many people forget it. It could be a nightmare if your wallet or purse is taken.

If you’re traveling abroad, make sure to have a copy of your passport. Make copies of everything you need and keep them in your bag.

Place them in your safe when you reach your destination. You will be ready for anything!

2. The Right Credit Card

Don’t assume that all credit cards are the same. The right credit card can help you save a lot of money when you travel.

You will want one that doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee if you are traveling abroad.

If you plan on checking bags, the airline’s credit cards can help you avoid having to pay for them.

Chase Sapphire Preferred is the credit card to use when you’re traveling.

The card is free of any fees for purchases made outside the country, and it offers great travel insurance when you 3 with it.

Certain countries require credit cards with the chip feature (no swipe allowed), while others require cards with higher numbers.

Double-check your payment method before you go.

3. Duct Tape

Nobody really believes they need a roll of duct tape to protect their vacation.

However, it can be very useful. It is especially useful when you have to repair your handbag, suitcase, or other items.

It’s lightweight so it won’t add too much weight to your suitcase.

4. Scissors

Another thing you don’t need. You don’t need it until you find something to cut the duct tape.

You can’t forget the wristband, loose thread, or price tag on a new shirt. Moreover, you won’t find scissors in most hotels.

You should make sure you have scissors in your bag, as airlines have strict rules regarding scissors in carry-ons.

5. Garbage bags

They can be used for holding damp clothes or bathing suits.

These can be used as extra padding to protect souvenirs that are broken at the end of your vacation.

6. Power Strip

This is not necessary if you’re traveling solo. However, it is essential if you’re traveling with a group.

You can charge multiple devices simultaneously, which will make it easier to change everything.

You should ensure that the device you buy is compatible with local outlets if you plan on traveling abroad.

You should also check the rules regarding power strips at your destination.

If you’re traveling on a cruise, you won’t be able to use a power strip with a surge protector. It can cause an electrical fire and short circuit the wiring.
