1. Book early
Although this is an obvious tip, it can make your cheap airfare list seem incomplete. Book your flight at least three weeks in advance of the holiday date to get a lower price.
Book at least two months ahead to secure the best airfares.
2. Book a connecting flight
Book a connecting flight if you’re not in a rush to get to your destination. It may be cheaper than booking a nonstop flight.
Many websites offer search engines that allow you to filter among options for one-stop, two-stop, and no stops flights.
3. You can purchase tickets from a private browser

4. Find out the fares from nearby airports
Compare fares for alternate departure points. A larger airport does not necessarily mean that it is more expensive. You may find cheaper options at nearby airports.

Flying on weekdays can be more expensive than on weekends, so plan your travels accordingly. A Tuesday or Thursday ticket can be cheaper than a Friday flight.
