These 11 healthy habits are great for anyone looking to make New Year’s resolutions, or simply want to improve their health.
Many small actions and habits can make a difference in the quality of our lives.
All of us are still in process!
Your life will flow more smoothly if you have good habits. You’ll be happier and more in charge.
1. Keep your living space tidier
Disorganized and chaotic homes can have a negative impact on your productivity and inner peace.
You probably spend too much time searching for lost items if your entire home or bedroom is in constant chaos.
Perhaps you take a whole afternoon off to clean once in a while, in an effort to catch up.
Start by simply putting away all of your items, making sure you make your bed each night and doing the dishes.
2. A daily to-do-list
A daily to-do listing is a great habit that makes you more productive. You’ll be less forgetful.
In my notes section on my phone, I keep multiple to-do lists. Although I don’t always keep a pen and paper with me, I do have my phone.
When I think of something that I need or want, I quickly add it to my list.
You can even use the checkmark emoji to make sure it’s checked off when you’re done!
It is so satisfying to check off items on a list.
Make a list of your top priorities to be done the next day before you go to sleep each night.
Perhaps you have to pay your mortgage. Grab some milk and wish your friend a happy birthday.
You’ll be reminded to prioritize your priorities when your day becomes hectic.
3. Lose 5 pounds
Okay, maybe not everyone will agree with this. However, I am certain that most people would love to be five pounds less.
Even losing five pounds can have a positive impact on your happiness and health.
Imagine your clothes feeling more comfortable and your feet feeling lighter.
It’s possible to feel better even if you lose a few pounds.
You never know, you might even enjoy the feeling of being able to shed five more pounds.
4. Do more
An object at rest remains at rest and an object in motion continues to move.
(Newton knew exactly what he was talking about.
Your body will be used to sitting down. Because your muscles and joints become stiff, movement becomes difficult.
Sitting is literally killing us. Get up and move more. Track your steps with a FitBit or pedometer. Your steps can be tracked in the Health app on your iPhone. Set a goal for yourself and work towards it every day.
Even if your routine isn’t very strict, you will find that your body loves the chance to move more.
5. Continue reading
To keep your mind and body active, you can also read books.
Reading can be both educational and entertaining. If you don’t feel like reading a book, there are many other options.
Blog posts and magazine articles count as well.
Audiobooks are also available! You can read while you cook, or clean your house.
Reading makes you more interesting and well-rounded as a bonus.
6. Drink water
Water is an essential part of your health.
Hydration can boost your energy, make your skin look healthier, and help your brain function better.
It can flush out toxins and even aid in weight loss.

7. Repay your debt
Americans are so used to having debt that they don’t even think about it.
They also have student loans, car payments, credit card debt, mortgages, and second mortgages. This is not ideal.
Did you know that you pay more when you have credit card debt? The banks aren’t doing anything for you by giving you credit. They’re only making themselves richer.
They make their money by the interest they earn on your debt.

8. Be mindful
Spending money more mindfully is a way to make your life easier.
This means that you must pay attention to every dollar. Take a look at what you’re purchasing and ask yourself how important it really is that you should actually purchase each of them. Everything you buy takes up space in your house.
Every fancy coffee or restaurant meal is quickly consumed, and then what? I’ll tell you. Debt.
It is not worth spending so much of your hard-earned cash. Try to find a good way to use it because it will all be gone for good once you’ve spent it.
Many people think that happiness is spending money. Saving money is better than spending it. Just ask all the wealthy people you know, what it is they did. Ask the wealthy, not the rich. There’s a difference.
9. Practice gratitude
It has been said that gratitude makes the difference between happy people and unhappy ones. I agree.
People who are happy appreciate all the blessings in life and can find joy even in the simplest of things.
A gratitude journal is a place where people record what they are thankful for every day.
You could also start by focusing on one thing that you are grateful for each morning and another as you go to bed at night.
Your life will be more positive if you are more positive and resilient.
People who are grateful have stronger mental and physical health, better relationships, and sleep better.

Hobbies can build self-esteem and help you meet new people.
